Campbell Middle School is located in Cypress Fairbanks ISD and serves the Houston area in northwest Harris County in the 77064 zip code.  The school’s full name is Bud and Corky Campbell Middle School.  It was opened in 1978.  Campbell Middle School is located outside of the Harvest Bend subdivision.  It is situated at the intersection of Bobcat Rd and Cougar Rd between F.M. 1960 and Windfern Rd.

About Bud and Corky Campbell

According to the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District website and the Houston Chronicle, Campbell Middle School was named after Mr. and Mrs. Bud Campbell.  Mr. Bud Campbell was born in Ida Grove, Iowa on December 10, 1919.  Mr. Campbell attended Iowa State University, then served as Staff Sgt. in the 87th Infantry Division in the European Theater during WW II.  Before CFISD, Mr. Campbell spent 27 years with Tenneco a Gas and Pipeline company and Tennesse Gas and Pipeline until his retirement in 1973.  Mr. Campbell was dedicated to community service,  he served on the Cypress Fairbanks ISD Board of Trustees for 13 years.  Mr. Campbell held a term as president as a board member as well as vice president.  During Mr. Campbell’s time on the board the district grew tremendously from 4,327 to 16, 496.  Mr. Campbell was a charter member of the CFISD Educational Foundation and served on the Foundation Board for 7 years.  Mr. Campbell and his wife,  Corky, of 60 years have five children.  Mr. Campbell passed away in March of 2002.
