According to the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District website, Julia “Judy” Williams Kahla dedicated 32 of her 43 years in education to CFISD.  Mrs. Kahla began her career in CFISD as an English teacher at Cy-Fair and Jersey Village High Schools.  Mrs. Kahla was then promoted as director of instruction at Arnold Middle School, and associate principal at Cypress Creek High School.  Mrs, Kahla was then promoted to a district level position as administrative assistant for personnel services before being promoted again to assistant superintendent for staff development.  Mrs. Kahla held that position until her retirement in June 2003.  Mrs. Kahla and her husband, Harold, have 2 sons, Byron and Grady.
