About Joan Postma

According to the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District website, Joan Postma spent 29 years working in education, 24 of those years was with CFISD.  She began her career in CFISD as a math and computer literacy teacher as well as a team leader at Bleyl Middle School where she worked 10 years.  She was then promoted to a district level position as a technical assistant for administrative and instructional microcomputer services.  Due to Mrs. Postma expertise in her field of work she was promoted to serve the district as the director of technology and support services.  Mrs. Postma went on to retire in 2002.  Mrs. Postma and her husband, Peter, have two sons, Perri and Robert, who are both graduates of CFISD.
