About Ronnie Truitt

According to the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District website, Ronnie Truitt began his career with CFISD in 1967 at Cy Fair High School.  In 1971, Mr. Truitt coached the Cy Fair Bobcats basketball team to their state basketball championship.  In 1972, Mr. Truitt was promoted to a high school assistant principal and then an elementary principal.  Mr. Truitt was the principal at Jersey Village High School until he passed away in 1988.  Mr. Truitt and his wife, JoAnn, have 3 children.  The movie “Hoosiers” is loosely based on his life and basketball career.
