About Carlos Watkins

According to the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District website and the Houston Chronicle, Carlos Watkins dedicated 34 of his 39 years in education to CFISD.  Mr. Watkins began his teaching careet in 1950 as a teacher and football coach at Pflugerville High School from 1950-1954.  In 1955, Mr. Watkins then moved to CFISD as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal all while at Cy Fair High School until his retirement in 1989.  Mr. Watkins was known as a big man with a big heart and a big smile.  Mr. Watkins and his wife, Marie, have 3 daughters, Pam, Carlene, and Sharon.  Mr. Watkins passed away June 17, 2011.
