Demo Content – Copperfield Neighborhood Amenities
Copperfield contains many recreational facilities and neighborhood amenities. The seven villages are all improved with neighborhood pools and multiple parks for the use of the residents of each village. Westcreek Village and Southcreek Village have two pools each. Walking and biking trails are located along the creeks and easements contained within the neighborhood. All Copperfield residents have access to the Copperfield Community Center and 10 acre community park located at the intersection of Willow River Dr and State Highway Six. The Copperfield Racquet and Health Club, 24 Hour Fitness, and the Langham Creek YMCA are all located in Copperfield.
Public Schools in Copperfield
Public schools in Copperfield are provided by the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District which is commonly known as Cy-Fair ISD. While school zoning maps change periodically, Copperfield is currently served by five elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools. The elementary schools consist of Fiest, Lowery, Copeland, Holmsley, and Owens. Labay and Aragon are the middle schools. Cy-Falls and Langham Creek are the high schools. Public schools are funded by property taxes on all real estate.
Copperfield Homeowners Associations and Government Services
While Copperfield has a Houston TX address, it is not located within the City of Houston, but resides in the unincorporated area of Harris County . It is located in the ETJ or Extra Territorial Jurisdiction of the City of Houston, which means that it is possible for it to be annexed in to the City of Houston in the future. Government and other public services are currently provided by Harris County, several local municipal utility districts, and the village HOA’s. Each village has its own individual homeowner’s association commonly referred to as an HOA. The Copperfield Community Association contracts with the Harris County Sheriff to provide neighborhood police patrols. Municipal utility districts provide water and sewer services. Residents pay a property tax to the utility districts in addition to a monthly water bill to pay for these services. Trash pickup is handled by several private trash companies contracted by the HOA’s.
