Towne Lake Cypress TX
Towne Lake Cypress TX is a community in the northwest suburbs of Houston TX in the 77433 zip code in Cypress TX. The neighborhood was developed by Caldwell Communities in northwest Harris County and is located along Barker Cypress Road between West Rd and Highway 290. Development began in 2007 and is still in development. The master planned community is not fully built out yet; homes spread out over ten subdivisions with lakeside living. The ten subdivisions are: Great Oaks, The Crossing, Sunset Harbor Villas, Sunset Harbor, Waters Edge, The Heritage, The Waterway, Creekside, Lakeshore, and The Greene. The Heritage within Towne Lake is a subdivision for 55 and better. The Heritage has its own community center, The Lodge, which offers a lap pool and spa, fitness center, billiard room, arts and crafts room, library, and ballroom.

Towne Lake Cypress TX Neighborhood Amenities
Towne Lake Cypress TX contains many recreational facilities and neighborhood amenities. The ten subdivisions are all improved with multiple parks, lakes, and trails for the use of the residents of Towne Lake. Towne Lake offers a 300 acre lake with over 14 miles of shoreline, and a 6 mile continuous boat ride . Towne Lake is the largest private recreational lake in Houston. The community offers boat docks, ramps, fishing holes, fitness center, parks, trails, amphitheater, lake, boardwalk, waterpark, island, and a lakehouse. The Lakehouse is the amenity center which offers cooking classes and private events for up to 200 guests. The Lakehouse is where the fitness center is located along with the community pool and waterpark. Walking and biking trails are located along the 300 acre lake and easements contained within the neighborhood. All Towne Lake residents have access to the waterpark where you can float the lazy river, swim in the Olympic size pool, play in the splash pads, go down the water slides, or relax on the beach side of the lake. Residents can take a boat ride or water taxi to the Boardwalk which offers shopping, dining, wellness, entertainment, and fun for all ages. Club Pilates, Beau Kisses, The Royal Standard, Massage Heights, Texas Children’s Pediatrics, Reserve Salon & Spa, Orangetheory Fitness, Breakfast Brunch Cafe, Flying Vine, MOD Pizza, Sam’s Boat, Torchy’s Tacos. and more are all located in the neighborhood.
Public Schools in Towne Lake
Public schools in Towne Lake are provided by the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District which is commonly known as Cy-Fair ISD. While school zoning maps change periodically, the neighborhood is currently served by two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. The elementary schools consist of Postma and Rennell. Anthony is the middle school. Cy-Ranch is the high school. Public schools are funded by property taxes on all real estate.
Towne Lake Homeowners Associations and Government Services
While Towne Lake has a Cypress TX address, it resides in the unincorporated area of Harris County. Government and other public services are currently provided by Harris County, several local municipal utility districts, and the HOA’s. Towne Lake has its own individual homeowner’s association commonly referred to as an HOA. The Towne Lake Community Association contracts with Priority Protection and Investigation and the Harris County Sheriffs Office to provide neighborhood police patrols. Municipal utility districts provide water and sewer services. Residents pay a property tax to the utility districts in addition to a monthly water bill to pay for these services. Trash pickup is handled by private trash companies contracted by the HOA’s.
