The Cypress Texas area is served by the highly ranked Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, known as Cy-Fair ISD. Cypress Fairbanks ISD. is the third largest district in Texas and is the largest exclusively suburban district. Cy-Fair ISD. is improved with nine 5-A high schools with several more opening in the near future. It is known for its high graduation rate and college bound curriculum. The area is also served by Lone Star College Cy-Fair, a community college.
The Cypress and Cy-Fair areas are improved with numerous parks, golf courses, shopping centers, and large master planned communities. The master planned communities include Copperfield, Fairfield, Towne Lake, and Bridgeland along with many other beautiful neighborhoods. The master planned communities are centered around neighborhood parks, small lakes, walking trails, and recreational facilities which improve the quality of life of their residents. Master planned communities offer the community residents more stable property values through strictly enforced residential deed restrictions, which can improve the neighborhood quality of life. The Fairfield community also features the Houston Premium Outlets, an extensive brand name outlet mall.

Fire protection is provided by the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department and the Cy-Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
