Looking for something to do in Katy this weekend? I pull this guide together every Friday so the best of what’s happening close to home is in one place — no endless scrolling required. This is the weekend of July 10–12, 2026, and after the big Fourth of July push, Katy settles back into what it does best: live music on the green, a lively night market, and easy family outings. Here’s where I’d point folks this weekend.
Weekend of July 10–12, 2026
Lemon Yellow Sun at Central Green Park (Friday). Kick off the weekend with a Pearl Jam tribute band on the lawn at Central Green Park in LaCenterra, Friday from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. It’s free, it’s outdoors, and it’s the kind of easygoing evening the park does so well — bring a blanket or a couple of low chairs, grab dinner from one of the LaCenterra restaurants nearby, and settle in. Little ones usually end up dancing in front of the stage before the first song’s done.
Los Clásicos del Vallenato at Central Green Park (Saturday). The park keeps the music going Saturday with Los Clásicos del Vallenato, a lively set of traditional Colombian vallenato right in the heart of Cinco Ranch. It’s a free, family-friendly way to catch some live music you won’t hear just anywhere — accordion-driven, upbeat, and made for a warm afternoon on the lawn. Easy to pair with a little shopping or an ice cream stop around LaCenterra.
KTX Market at No Label Brewing (Saturday). Old Town Katy’s favorite pop-up market is back Saturday evening at No Label Brewing, starting around 5:00 p.m. Admission is free, and you’ll find dozens of local makers selling handmade goods, plus food trucks and live music on No Label’s patio. It’s one of my favorite Katy evenings — support small vendors, grab a bite, and soak up the old-brewery atmosphere at the end of 1st Street.
Fulshear Farmers’ Market (Saturday). Just west of Katy, the Fulshear Farmers’ Market runs Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 9035 Bois D’Arc Lane — produce, local meats, baked goods, honey, and handmade finds from area makers. Get there early, beat the midday heat, and you’ll have a fridge full of good stuff before lunch. It’s a nice, low-key way to start a Katy Saturday.
Always a good time in Katy
Even on a quieter weekend, a few Katy regulars never miss. When the July heat gets the best of you, Typhoon Texas on Katy Fort Bend Road is open all weekend — 30-plus slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river that’s hard to beat for cooling off. No Label Brewing keeps a rotating food truck and an easygoing, dog-friendly patio going most evenings if you just want somewhere relaxed to land. Mary Jo Peckham Park is a local treasure, with a stocked fishing pond, miniature golf, and an indoor pool that make for an affordable family afternoon. And when a summer thunderstorm chases everyone indoors, Katy Mills is good for a few air-conditioned hours of shopping and a movie. Any of these is worth it when you just want to get out of the house.
Thinking about calling Katy home?
One of the things I love about Katy is that it never feels short on something to do — great parks, a real Main Street, top-rated schools, and master-planned neighborhoods with their own pools, trails, and events built right in. If a weekend out here has you picturing your family in one of them, I’m always happy to talk through how the communities differ and what fits the way you like to spend your time.
