Looking for something to do up in Spring or Tomball this weekend? I keep this guide refreshed every week so you can find the best of what’s happening close to home in one place — without the endless scrolling. This is a quieter mid-July weekend with no big street festival on the calendar, and honestly, that’s part of the charm up here: Saturday market mornings, the shops and live music in Old Town Spring, and a few easy ways to beat the July heat. Here’s what I’d put on your list for the weekend of July 10–12, 2026.
Weekend of July 10–12, 2026
Tomball Farmers Market. Saturday morning is market morning in Tomball. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 205 W. Main Street, dozens of farmers, bakers, and artisans set up in Old Town Tomball for the Tomball Farmers Market — one of the largest all-local markets in the area. It’s pet-friendly and runs rain or shine, and it’s the perfect way to get out early and grab fresh produce, kolaches, and coffee before the July heat sets in.
Pokémon Fest in Old Town Spring. If you’ve got kids — or you’re a kid at heart — Old Town Spring hosts a Pokémon Fest on Saturday starting around 11 a.m., woven right through the historic shopping district. Expect trading, cosplay, and family-friendly vendors up and down the blocks. Check the Old Town Spring events page for the day’s lineup before you head over.
Shop and stroll Old Town Spring. Even without a festival, Old Town Spring is made for a slow Saturday or Sunday. Dozens of historic shops, antique stores, boutiques, and restaurants are packed into a few walkable blocks, so you can wander, grab lunch, and duck into the air conditioning between stops. Browse the business directory to plan your route.
Live music in Old Town Spring. The music runs all weekend long. MB Speakeasy on Gentry Street features live music nightly, and that’s just one stop — wander the historic streets on Saturday evening, poke through the shops, and follow the music to whichever patio sounds best.
Always worth the trip
Even when there isn’t a big event on the calendar, a few Spring and Tomball regulars never miss. Old Town Spring is worth a slow afternoon any time — those same historic shops, antiques, and restaurants are exactly why people drive out here. For something free and green, Mercer Botanic Gardens off Aldine Westfield has shaded trails and gardens that hold up beautifully even in the summer heat. And in Tomball, Burroughs Park gives you a big shaded lake, fishing, and trails when you just want the kids to burn off some energy. Any of these is worth it when you want to get out of the house.
Thinking about a move to Spring or Tomball?
One of the things I love about this corner of the Houston area is the mix — historic small-town main streets, newer master-planned communities like Springwoods Village and the neighborhoods around Tomball, top-rated schools, and weekends like this one a short drive from your front door. If a slow summer weekend up here has you picturing your family in one of these communities, I’m always happy to talk through how they differ and what fits the way you like to spend your time. Take a look at how I help buyers, or just reach out — I’m a local broker and glad to help.
