Dyess Park is a 113 Acre Harris County park located in Cypress TX in Northwest Harris County. Dyess Park is a popular park and is always busy on the weekends with numerous softball & soccer fields filled with young athletes and weekend picnickers. It is also home to a remote control airplane airfield filled with a mixture of youth and adult remote control model aircraft and drone pilots.
How to Find Dyess Park
The park is located on Kitzman Rd just off Telge Road, approximately 1 mile south of the Grand Parkway. Conveniently situated halfway between Cypress and Tomball, approximately 7 miles from each, the park gets heavy weekend usage by numerous family oriented athletic associations. Be aware that the plentiful lighted parking is known to fill up during game days and ingress/egress can be a challenge. Link to Park Map
Dyess Park Features
In addition to the athletic fields (8 lighted softball, 6 lighted soccer & 19 unlighted soccer) and private airfield, the park amenities include picnic pavilions with concessions, playgrounds, restrooms and a gazebo.
While the park is owned and maintained by Harris County, the fields are maintained by private sports clubs: Cy-Fair Soccer Club and Cy-Fair Girls Athletic Association Private use of the fields requires permission. Also, the private Spring Area Radio Kontrol Society is the club that maintains the remote control model aircraft field.
