Wolfe Elementary — formally Maurice L. Wolfe Elementary — is Katy ISD’s easternmost elementary, at 502 Addicks-Howell Road in Houston’s 77079 ZIP near the Addicks Reservoir. In TEA’s 2025–26 state ratings the campus earned a B (81 out of 100) with four of six eligible distinction designations, serving about 412 students from early education through grade 5, the smallest campus in the Taylor feeder. Its zone reaches across two high schools: about six in ten addresses continue through Memorial Parkway Junior High to Taylor High, while the Bear Creek-side streets attend Cardiff or Mayde Creek Junior High and then Mayde Creek High.

Buying or selling a home zoned to Wolfe?
Fleetwood and Memorial Thicket give buyers an Energy Corridor commute with a Katy ISD address — a combination the west-Houston market prices at a premium — while the Taylor-or-Mayde-Creek question depends entirely on the street. As your real estate buyer’s agent I’ll confirm the assignment on every home we tour, weigh dues, MUD taxes and flood history — a real conversation this close to the reservoir, and I’ll pull the maps — and negotiate on your behalf; we’ll agree on how I’m paid up front and in writing. Who is Maurice Wolfe?
The last principal of the old Addicks School District’s only school. When Addicks was divided among Katy, Spring Branch, and Houston ISDs in 1961, the surviving school stayed in Katy ISD under Wolfe, who had taught there since 1949 and served as the Addicks superintendent. The school moved to its Addicks-Howell Road home and was renamed in his honor in 1985, the year before he retired — which is why Katy ISD’s easternmost campus carries a Houston address and seven decades of neighborhood memory. First bell rings at 8:03 a.m.; dismissal is at 3:20 p.m.
