Looking for something to do in Cypress this weekend? I keep this guide refreshed every week so the best of what’s happening close to home lands in one place — no endless scrolling required. We’re into the thick of a Texas July now, so this is the weekend of July 10–12, 2026, and most of what I’ve rounded up is either early-morning or after-sunset — the smart way to enjoy Cypress before the heat index takes over. Here’s what stood out to me.
Weekend of July 10–12, 2026
Friday & Saturday night: live music at The Boardwalk at Towne Lake. The easiest win of the weekend is right on the water. The Boardwalk runs live music every Friday and Saturday night from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., so you can grab dinner on a waterfront patio, let the kids burn off energy along the promenade, and catch a band as the sun drops over the lake. It’s free to show up and one of the more pleasant ways to spend a hot evening out here. See what’s on at the Boardwalk’s events page.
Saturday morning: Cypress Cars & Coffee (JDM edition). If you like cars — or just like a reason to get moving before it’s blazing — the local Cars & Coffee crowd gathers Saturday, July 11 from 8 a.m. at 27240 Hwy 290, with this month’s meet leaning toward the JDM and import scene. It’s a laid-back, family-and-dog-friendly morning: walk the rows, talk shop with owners, grab a coffee, and be home before the day heats up. Details are on the Cypress event listing.
Sunday morning: the Farmers Market at Bridgeland. Cypress’s Sunday market returns to Lakeland Village Center this weekend, running 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 10519 Fry Road on the second and fourth Sundays of the month — and July 12 lands right in that window. Expect local produce, honey, baked goods, coffee, and handmade finds from area vendors, all a short drive from most Cypress neighborhoods. Get there early for the best pick and the coolest part of the day. More at the Bridgeland farmers market page.
Always a good time in Cypress
When the calendar’s quiet or the heat has everyone moving slow, a few Cypress regulars never miss. The Boardwalk at Towne Lake is the closest thing we have to a waterfront downtown — grab dinner on the patio, rent a paddleboat, or just take an evening stroll along the water once the sun’s down. For something more active, the trails and lakes around Bridgeland are open sunup to sundown, with miles of paths and kayak-friendly water at Josey Lake if you head out early before the heat climbs. And when the afternoon heat index chases everyone indoors, Houston Premium Outlets off 290 is good for a few air-conditioned hours. Any of these is worth it when you just want to get out of the house.
Thinking about calling Cypress home?
Weekends like this one — live music on the water Friday night, a car meet or the farmers market on the weekend, and a lake or trail a few minutes from your door — are a big part of why people fall for Cypress. Master-planned communities with their own lakes, trails, and pools, a real choice of top-rated Cy-Fair schools, and all of it without fighting Houston traffic to get home. If a weekend out here has you picturing your family in one of these neighborhoods, I’m always happy to talk through how they differ and what fits the way you actually like to spend your time.
