About Kevan Pewitt
I’m a Houston real estate broker and Realtor with a simple approach — treat every client’s move like it’s the most important transaction of the year, because for them, it is. I’ve been a licensed Texas broker since 1989 and have operated Houston Prime Realty since 1995, serving Greater Houston, Cypress, Katy, and Bryan–College Station.
A Houston Real Estate Broker With Deep Texas Roots
I’m a Texan born and raised. I was born in San Antonio and have called the Houston area home since I was five years old — so when a client asks me about a neighborhood, a school zone, or how a part of town has changed over the years, I’m answering from a lifetime of living here, not from a search engine.
I earned my BBA in Finance from Sam Houston State University, where I also met my wife — we’ve been married ever since. She spent her career as a teacher in Cy-Fair ISD, the school district at the heart of the communities I serve. We raised two daughters here, both graduates of Texas A&M University — yes, I’m a proud Aggie parent. Our family is active at Foundry Methodist Church on Jones Road in Houston.
Professionally, I’ve spent my entire career in Houston real estate. I hold a Texas real estate broker license — first issued in 1989 — and I’m also licensed by the state as a Certified Residential Appraiser. That appraisal background matters more than you might think: when I tell you what a home is worth, it’s grounded in the same valuation discipline lenders rely on, whether you’re making an offer or pricing your home to sell.
In 1995 I founded Houston Prime Realty as an independent brokerage in the Cy-Fair area of west Houston. Today I lead a small team built around one idea — our clients come first. No call centers, no being handed off. You work with people who know your name and your goals.

How I Work — Experience, Backed by Current Technology
Decades in this business taught me what never changes: pricing discipline, honest advice, and careful negotiation. But the way homes are found and marketed changes constantly — and I’ve made it a point to stay on the leading edge of it. Houston Prime Realty runs its own custom-branded mobile app with a live feed from the Houston MLS, so my buyers see new listings in real time rather than waiting on the delayed data big national portals show. My sellers get modern digital marketing that puts their home in front of the right buyers fast.
Because I belong to both the HAR MLS and the BCS MLS, I can serve clients across an unusually wide stretch of Texas — from Houston, Cypress, and Katy all the way up to Bryan–College Station. Whether you’re buying a home in Houston or selling your current one, the process starts the same way: a conversation about your goals, with no pressure and no obligation.
One more thing worth saying plainly — the real estate industry changed in August 2024, and I work the new rules transparently. Compensation is discussed up front and put in writing before we begin, so you always know exactly where you stand.
Let’s Talk About Your Move
Whether you’re buying, selling, or just weighing your options, a conversation with an experienced Houston real estate broker costs you nothing and commits you to nothing.
