Golbow Elementary — formally Loraine T. Golbow Elementary — is a Katy ISD elementary at 3535 Lakes of Bridgewater Drive in Katy’s 77449 ZIP, sharing its address with McDonald Junior High next door. In TEA’s 2024–25 state ratings the Blue Jays earned a B (81 out of 100) with one of six eligible distinction designations, serving about 628 students from early education through grade 5. The zone has the same quirk as only a handful of Katy campuses: everyone attends McDonald Junior High, but from there the zone splits almost evenly — slightly more than half to Paetow High, the rest to Morton Ranch High. The name belongs to Loraine T. Golbow, who came to teach at Addicks in 1930, when it was still a depot stop on the Katy railroad line.

Buying or selling a home zoned to Golbow?
An elementary that shares a driveway with its junior high is a school-run luxury most zones can’t offer, and Lakes of Bridgewater prices it affordably — but the near-even Paetow-or-Morton-Ranch split downstream is decided block by block, so the address check leads every showing here. As your real estate buyer’s agent I’ll confirm the assignment on every home we tour, weigh dues, MUD taxes and flood history, and negotiate on your behalf — we’ll agree on how I’m paid up front and in writing.
