Harris County Deputy Darren Goforth Park on Horsepen Creek is conveniently located in the heart of the Cy-Fair area in NW Houston. The original name of the park was Horsepen Creek Park, but was renamed in 2015 to honor a slain Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy. The park has two large parking lots located at 9118 Wheat Cross Dr & 9402 Barker Cypress Rd which provide ample parking for busy days. The main feature of this park is the lake, around which all its’ amenities have been constructed. While the main purpose of the lake is for water retention during periods of heavy rain, it also serves as a popular fishing hole and as a swimming area for visiting canines.
