Richard & Meg Weekley Park is a 190-acre Harris County Precinct 4 park at 8440 Greenhouse Rd, wrapped around a 21,000-square-foot community center that has quietly become one of the busiest public buildings on the Cypress–Copperfield border — free fitness classes, pickleball courts, a fishing lake, and a 1.18-mile trail along Langham Creek, all at no charge. The park is named for the Weekleys’ tree donations to the county — Richard co-founded David Weekley Homes with his brother David, so there’s a certain logic to a homebuilder’s name on the park serving these subdivisions.

What you’ll find at Weekley Park

The county’s current amenity list: the 1.18-mile hike-and-bike trail (extended from its original 0.85 miles), a fishing lake on Langham Creek, a playground, picnic areas with shade canopies, an outdoor gym station, and three dedicated pickleball courts. The three pickleball courts opened in August 2022 — a $77,000 project with permanent nets, free to play daily from 7 a.m., with lessons and loaner equipment at the center. The park also moved from Precinct 3 to Precinct 4 in the county’s redistricting. And this center is more than recreation: during Hurricane Beryl in July 2024 it served as a relief hub and cooling center for the neighborhoods around it — water, food, wi-fi, even crated pets welcome.
