Bud Hadfield Park Features
Bud Hadfield Park’s namesake was a Texas history enthusiast & donated the property to Harris County. The 1.5 mile disc golf course was laid out & developed by volunteers from the TX Army Trail Volunteers, who also maintain its’ equipment. The course takes you along Cypress Creek and over a Harris County Flood Control reservoir. The park’s numerous trees and shrubs serve to make the course more challenging.
A short nature trail, with periodic benches, weaves throughout the park’s forested areas. The trail is marked, but deviates very far from the park’s open area. Hikers should be aware of venomous snakes native to the area and the possibility of being hit by flying frisbees. Picnic tables are provided at the front of the park and fishing is allowed in the creek and wetland areas.
