Cypress Park is a 165 Acre Harris County Park built within Flood Control Right-of-Way. A majority of the park’s acreage is unspoiled nature area, however, visitors can enjoy numerous amenities provided by Harris County Precinct 3. The main feature of this park is the pond, around which a walking trail has been constructed. While the main purpose of the pond is for water retention during periods of heavy rain, it also serves as a popular fishing hole.
How to Find Cypress Park
The park is located at 12925 N Eldridge Parkway about halfway between Cypress North Houston Rd and Grant Rd. The park is approximately 4 miles north of US 290 and 3 miles west of US 249 (Tomball Parkway). The park is bordered by Little Cypress Creek (and Maxwell Park) to the west, Cypress Creek to the south and residential neighborhoods to the north. Link to Park Website/Map
Cypress Park Features
The park’s amenities include 1.56 miles of paved trail, including a 0.65 mile smaller loop, which takes its’ users over a bridge that bisects the pond, and a 1.39 mile larger loop that reaches to the park’s westernmost border. Along the trail visitors will find benches and a variety of exercise stations. At the park’s entrance off N Eldridge there is a parking lot, picnic tables, a restroom, a playground and shade canopies.
