Cypress Top Historic Park and its turn of the century historical buildings give visitors a feel for when the area served as a railway junction between Houston and Hempstead during the late 19th century.

Dyess Park is a popular park and is always busy on the weekends with numerous softball & soccer fields filled with young athletes and weekend picnickers.
